Derison joined Greater Atlanta Builds Credit in September 2019, bringing over 10 years of experience in direct service, program management, program design, and organizational capacity building. He was formerly at Phipps Neighborhoods, a multi-service organization that serves over 12,000 individuals in the South Bronx, where he led the integration of financial services across education and workforce programs to promote economic mobility. He co-founded the Children's Economic Program (CEP) pilot program – an afterschool financial literacy program reaching 5,000 student units - a cross-collaboration project through JP Morgan Chase, and PYXERA Global. Derison has trained financial coaches, counselors and program managers in delivering financial development strategies. Derison is fluent in Spanish and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from John Jay College.
